MY CLAY ART..
Throw away the potter's wheel and rediscover the fun of playing in the dirt. . .BUT Clay ain't Dirt!
I love getting my hands messy. I love that I become so focused nothing else matters. I love that clay is unpredictable, just when you think you have it licked it shows you otherwise. And I love the process of working with a raw material and transforming it from dirt(clay) to something beautiful.
I fire my work in an electric kiln and reach temperatures as high as 2000 degrees.
Photography had been a hobby since I was a teenager. I had a black & white darkroom in my basement that allowed me to learn the basics of photography.
Photography is truly an art of passion and expression. It provides me with the ability to capture images from around the world on film and now digital. While I am photographing, I feel at peace, and it is during these moments that I begin to better understand the world and my place within it.
In looking for other ways to display my Images, a friend of mine suggested I publish my Photographs in a book. I use createspace.com as my print on demand publisher. I love to show my work in local Coffee Houses and Art Galleries.
